We’re very pleased to have Pastor Jonathan Cooney as our new pastor at Grace Church! Our transition is going very smoothly and we look forward to our journey together with him. Pastor Jonathan has hit the ground running and has made special efforts to reach out and meet with members for “get to know one another” sessions. He is most happy to meet each member/family in his office at the church, in member’s homes or a place of the member’s choosing.

Grace Reception in Pastor Jonathan’s honor.
Our Touch of Grace Bell Choir will begin their rehearsals for the 2018-19 year on Wednesday, August 29th at 8:00 p.m. Traditionally, this initial rehearsal is first dedicated to giving the bells a thorough cleaning and polish before playing through a few songs. Judy Brekke is our director and works hard to choose music that will challenge (not too much!) our ringers and inspire our listeners. The choir meets most every Wednesday evening September through April and plays during our worship service on the second Sunday of each month, except May, when they participate in Music Sunday on the first Sunday. If you would like to give the bell choir a try, contact Judy and set up a time to learn a little bit more about what is involved.
Our Chancel Choir begins rehearsals on Wed., August 29 th at 7:00 p.m. in the choir loft section of the sanctuary. The choir is open to anyone high school age and older. We practice most Wednesday evenings September through April (and usually just once in May). Our performance Sundays are the first and third Sunday of each academic year month and special services like Christmas Eve and Maundy Thursday and an occasional 5 th Sunday. Rhonda Hampton is our director and does a wonderful job of selecting music that uplifts and inspires both our singers and the congregation. Our music is a meaningful complement to the morning message. Choir rehearsals are a lot of fun, even though we do work hard to learn and prepare our music. Our accompanist is Milianna Carlson. Sunday school classes at Grace UMC begin the 2018-19 academic year on Sunday, September 9 th at 10:30 a.m. Children’s Bell Choir will begin rehearsals in early September.
